Dear Kathy: Today we moved our CD-ROMs into a microfiche cabinet so that we
can keep them in a locked cabinet. The same problem exists of the drawers
not being tall enough to put the CDs with the numbers, etc. showing.
However, the numbers and information on the shorter sides is visible if you
look along the side of the CDs. My student assistant who will be working
with these CDs pointed this out to me. My other alternative was to print
out our list of what we own onto sticky labels and just cut them out and
paste them to the side that faces up. This has worked well for us. This
cabinet will hold 3 rows in each drawer and can be locked for greater
security.
Hope this info helps. Jennie at Univ. of Kansas
