We're running Geoname on Windows '95 and have had no problems. Usually we ppoint
to Websites rahter than running CDs, when the sites are proven to be effective.
An example would be the GNIS site. We never did get that software running
locally. We like the Website.
 
I should think the advantage of the Website for Geoname/NIMA is that it would be
more up-to-date than the CD- ours is a 1995 product. I must say, it's easy to
