I am pulling together information about outsourcing the retrospective
cataloging of some items from the map collection at Northwestern University.
I would appreciate any guidance that list members can provide about:  1)
companies to be used (or avoided) in doing the cataloging; 2) approximate
costs that have been incurred in doing this; and 3) guidance that you can
provide for going about this process (either in the form of personal
experience or previously reported materials such as articles or archived
materials from lists).
