Maps and Docs Librarians

Our Documents department is in the process of developing a GIS service. I
am interested in hearing the experiences other libraries have had with
training for ESRI arcview. In particular I'd like to here about experiences
with the ESRI onsite training as opposed to the ESRI virtual campus, how
valuable have libraries found the ESRI users conference, and any other
valuable methods libraries have used to train staff in particular to use
ESRI ArcView.
