I have a request from a colleague here at the University of Utah's
Marriott Library:

"I'm working with a group of architecture students who are doing a site
analysis of the historic Arts District in Los Angeles.

We'd like to acquire Sanborn maps, but I'm not certain what is possible.
Is it likely that a regional (academic or public) library would ILL
microfilm? I know UC Berkeley has good collection of California Sanborns
(original as well as microfilm, including copies of LOC holdings), and
so, too, does the LA Public Library system. There are catalog records in
WorldCat, so one presumes an ILL request could be submitted. I just
didn't know if / how it would be filled. Can you advise?"

Anyone know if such microfilm is available by I-LL? We only have Utah
region covered; no idea who loans their microfilms out or not.
