Just thought the international map library community might like to know
that only three [ 3 ! ] map library associations are mentioned in the $500
IFLA tome cited above.

ACMLA; Australian Map Circle [despite generic map name, apparently is
limited to curators and librarians ????? this has never been made clear];
Working Group for Map Curatorship of the Dutch Cartographic Society.

Oddly, IFLA lists numerous national associations, but doesn't bother to
drop down into the next level and look for subject specialty divisions.

Not sure what this means: IFLA doesn't know about MAGERT, WAML, Map
Curators Group UK, LIBER Groupe des Cartothecaires, IFLA's own G & M
section, ISCEM, the Map Librarian Team of the Association of Swiss
Librarians, etc.???

yes, I know IFLA publishes a map library directory. Just odd that these 3
map library associations are listed and no others; or that these 3 are
listed at all, since we have IFLA's map library directory...but then
again, that is libraries, not assns. sigh.
