Thanks everyone for all the suggestions.
Yes, I was looking for a single list that named all the sheets.
Fortunately, someone sent me such a list that I am modifying.
I am trying to convert all my hand-checked lists into excel files. At
one time these lists were available on the USGS website (which is where
I printed off the list in 2001!- date I printed it is on the bottom of
the list). For some reason, they are no longer there. Fortunately,
MAPS-L came through again. Someone, unlike me, had the forethought to
save the lists electronically when they were posted.

I think you maybe misread...looks to me like she wants to download a list:
