National Geographic Maps have several maps of current interest.

A new map titled "Afghanistan, Pakistan & Middle East" is a political map
of the region at a scale of 1:6,087,000, available now.

Another new map, "Afghanistan," will be included with the December issue of
National Geographic Magazine. This map will then be released for sale to
the public in December. It will be two-sided. Side one is a highly detailed
(scale 1:3,363,300) political map of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Side two,
titled "Afghanistan: Land in Crisis," features a dramatic satellite image
of the country as well as an historical timeline, thematic maps and
photographs.

A third map of topical interest covers the Caspian Sea region. Side one is
a political map at a scale of 1:7,100,000, covering the region from
Kazakhstan in the Northeast and Pakistan in the Southeast to Turkey in the
West. Side two addresses the culture and geography of the region with
satellite imagery, thematic maps and text. Available now.

Available from map retailers, or from National Geographic Maps,
303-670-3457, www.nationalgeographic.com/maps.
