I found this fascinating and quite innovative. But then I realized that
on this apple-map Greenland is about the size of South America. In
reality South America is more than 8 times the size of Greenland.

The distortion of relative areas that is shown on so many cylindrical
maps should not be present on a map created on a globular surface. I am
disappointed but not all that surprised.
