Hello fellow mapsters,

There are six proposals and four discussion papers before MARBI this
time. There aren't any that specifically touch on cartographic
resources. There are several that would add fields or subfields to
accommodate RDA (Proposal 2012-06 would add $c to the 028 field;
Proposal 2012-04 would add new data elements to authority format to
account for other designation associated with the person or title of
the person; and, Proposal 2012-05 would make the 250 field repeatable
to accommodate data from notated music that will be recorded in the
250 field under RDA). There are three discussion papers that come from
the ALCTS CaMMS Subject Analysis Committee Subcommittee on Genre/Form
Implementation that cover changes to both the bibliographic and
authority formats to record aspects of genre/form headings.
