Hello Judy!
 
Your question really interests me too. I was surprised that Mary L. hasn't
attempted this but not strongly so. I'm hoping somebody out there has gone
through this experience. I hope to be cataloging metadata, depending on the
direction my administrators point us in and what other developments unfold
with members of the CIC (a consortium of the Big Ten universities plus two
others), in the very near future. I wait in anticipation for other answers
to your question. Personally, I don't know of anyone doing this particular
kind of cataloging...
