The 19th Annual ESRI User Conference will be held July 26-30 in San Diego,
California.  In conjunction with the User Conference, an introductory
workshop focused on GIS in Libraries will be held Sunday, July 25th.
 
The workshop will provide a hands-on introduction to ArcView GIS.  It is
designed for librarians with little or no previous experience with GIS and
will provide an overview of GIS technology and its potential applications in
a library setting.  The role of the Internet in making GIS and spatial data
accessible to an ever-increasing audience also will be discussed.
