    All,

ZZYZX is listed as a "Locale" in GNIS. There is also a ZZYZX
Spring, a ZZYZX Air Strip, and a ZZYZX Road. It is in San Bernadino
County, California on the "Soda Lake, North" quad. If anyone has any
history on the name, I'd love to hear it.
By the way, it turns out that the professor who was asking was
asking on behalf of his daughter who had been required to find the
place for a homework assignment...for the fourth grade. Don't tell me
    Tennessee schools aren't tough!
Thanks to Richard Montague for his response and added clues from
    UU in Salt Lake City.
