To anyone interested on old rare maps;
The American Historical Society of Germans from Russia in Lincoln,
Nebraska have an excellent collection of old maps of the German colonies
that were on the Volga River, around Saratov. These some of these rare
maps are for sale. Before Stalin there were 8 million Germans in these
colonies, after Stalin there were less than 2 milion, and all of them
in the slave labor camps. However the maps were recovered or smuggled
out.
