The OU Press website has the price listed as $ 99.95.

So maybe the $ 79.98 price is the discounted price.

Just a quick note that the University of Florida's copy of the atlas
arrived
from OU Press yesterday afternoon. My initial impression is good
although
one of our professors gobbled it up for a Political Science class
project
before I could look at more than a few pages.

Our on-line cost showed it was $79.98 but I do not know if that was
before
or after the Library discount.

Hope this is helpful.

Dear Maps-L Subscribers:

I want to share some wonderful news. One of our founders, John Cotter,
created the maps for the newly-published Historical Atlas of Central
America. And a friend of Treaty Oak, Vicki Whitaker, worked with him on
the maps' production. We are so proud that we want everyone to know how
to
get the atlas; so here goes:

Historical Atlas of Central America
by Carolyn Hall and Hector Perez Brignoli
John V. Cotter, Cartographer
ISBN 0-8061-3037-7
University of Oklahoma Press
oupress.com
1-800-627-7377

I understand from OU Press that the web site is undergoing revision this
week and so ordering online should be possible next week. In the
meantime,
the 800-number is recommended. (I don't know yet what the retail price
is;
my apologies.)

Best regards from a jubilant
