Government Resources & Research Services Librarian
The University of Guam Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Library seeks a dynamic
and enthusiastic individual who will oversee the services and collections
of the Government Documents Collection and Graduate Research Center.
Specific responsibilities include collection responsibilities for a
selective U.S. Government Repository Collection, corollary collections,
and an IMLS three year grant funded Graduate Research Center. This
individual will report to the Library Director. This is a 12-month, tenure
track position.

Requirements: Master’s degree (MLS or MLIS) from an ALA-accredited library
school. Knowledge of current trends in government information, academic
research services and information literacy instruction. A minimum of three
years professional library reference and information literacy instruction
experience. Proficiency with technology as it relates to information
resources and services. Familiarity and knowledge of SuDocs
classification. Able to work in a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic
institution and learning environment. Strong interpersonal communication
and public service skills. Knowledge and application of learning styles
and teaching methods. Ability to interact with students, faculty and staff
in a courteous, professional, and collegial manner. Ability to meet
academic promotion and tenure requirements, consisting of but not limited
to active participation in University and community service and in
self-initiated research projects leading to publications.
