        Hi,
        Vacaville is famous for two things: Annual Onion festival;
and the State Insane Asylum. I am not sure if these are connected
in anyway.
It's on I-80 approxiamately halfway between San Fransisco
and Sacramento (thus about 40 miles frome each.)
I have driven through it many times, stopped once for gas.
It is on the western side of the Sacarmento Valley, hugging
the hills on the north of the gap the river and wind and freeway
flow through.

Not much, I know, but I hope it helps. Please feel free
to send me more specific questions and I may be able to answer them.

It is likely to be Vacaville, just north of Fairfield and at the
intersection of Interstate 505 and 90

North East of San Francisco, (50 miles) and West of Napa (25miles)

Well, to begin, Vacaville (one word) is a city in
Solano County, California, population around 80,000,
on Freeway 80 between San Francisco and Sacramento.
It is the site of a prison for the criminally insane.
What else do you need to know.

What kind of information do you want? I live and work in Palo Alto,
California and have mapping and GIS customers in Vacaville.
