Does anyone use - or know anything about - these products, or could suggest
better quality products that show digital elevation worldwide?

GLOBE (Global Land One-Kilometer Base Elevation) Version 1.0 - by NOAA has
global DEMs
Map Render 3D - has world wide DEM coverage at 30 meter resolution

Please email me directly, thanks!
Beth
