Alice,

Good heavens, even our little old map room here at CWU is worthy of an
hour-long documentary. OK, well, maybe 15 minutes. But NYPL? You're
worthy of a full season in prime time! Those fidgety network execs,
obsessed with ADD-driven ratings, should be hogtied to your map room
chairs, so that you can parade your wares in front of them. This should
have a calming effect. But don't be surprised if you hear:

'Alice! I've got a terrific idea for a reality TV show! We could call
it "Smiley's People"!'
'No Ken, that's been done before: the spy thing, with Al Guinness.'
'Oh, right. Alice! I've got it! We'll call it "Smiley's Maps"! It'll
pull in a 50% share - guaranteed! Tuesday nights at 8:00! What do you
think? Alice? Baby?'

Is gagging allowed in your map room?

Hope they air it this time, and that it's fabulous!

Brian

Hmmm, looks like it is scheduled for Jan 15 now.

The Dorsey brothers bit was chosen by the program editor over "maps"
to
lighten up the program last Sunday.

Don't hold your breath, however. If it airs, you will get to see a bit
of
the new map room in living color.

These segments are only a few minutes long, so if you blink, you may
miss
it!
