Subject: [MapHist] Alfred Wainwright's cartography

Apologies for cross-posting:
----------------------------------------
I am doing some research into the very individual cartography and
book production of Alfred Wainwright (famous for his Lake District
Guides). I came across a reference in the Charles Close Society
website. I wondered if anyone who has a copy of the reference
would be prepared to fax it to me.

Ref is : Sheetlines 62 : Dec 2001: Chris Noble "A man who was
passionate about maps : Alfred Wainwright 1907-1991"

I suspect it is an obituary but would like to read it.

Please contact me off-line for my fax number (or it should be
included in my signature at the end of this email).

Any leads to any other reference material - whether printed or web-
based - would be appreciated. I have already Hunter Davies'
excellent Biography, and the URL for the Wainwright Society.

TIA
