Try INSTAAR (Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research) at the University
of Colorado. There is a white page directory reachable from U. Colo's home page on WWW. I know they did the original North Slope ecological work. Also, you might try the people at the North Slope - Barrow School District. With every village who knows...
