Subject: Additions to MAGERT Electronic Publications Page

     There are several new additions to the Electronic Publications page on
the MAGERT Web site (http://www.sunysb.edu/libmap/magert1.htm).

     I want to draw your attention to two additions that are likely to be
of particularly widespread interest.

     The first is an online version of Robert P. Loeffler and Nancy
Kandoian, "An English Translation of Words Abbreviated in Ritter's Lexicon"
(previously published as MAGERT Open File Report 88-1).

     Many of you will also find useful Melissa Lamont's "Looking for Free
Data," which is a collection of links to websites with free or inexpensive
GIS data.  This is derived from a talk given at the ALA Conference last
July, and can be found under "ALA Conference Publications."
