Maps-L was just having a brief conversation about the lack of geographic
literacy of US students ... and I just saw in the ArcNews magazine from
ESRI that the National Geographic Society has launched a "My Wonderful
World" campaign to "combat geographic illiteracy." From the press
release (dated May 2nd, 2006) there are a number of "partners" and I
just wonder why the ALA or MAGERT are not partners in this effort?
