Summary:
-- Responsible for coordinating all physical, online, and budgetary aspects of the LIS map collection. Maintains and further develops an up-to-date collection of print maps, atlases, and books through an ongoing selection and weeding process. Oversees cataloging, organization, and circulation of print materials in this collection, including archival maps. Develops content and provides access to online map resources. Monitors annual purchasing budget. Creates collection management strategy for print and online materials. Creates and distributes quarterly reports on updates to the map collection. Writes map collection section of annual report section.

Minimum Education & Experience:
MLS from an ALA accredited Library School.
Undergraduate geography or cartographic training and minimum two years professional experience that provides an understanding and experience with map resources, training, MARC cataloging for maps, information retrieval, database design, HTML, and structure models, as well as end-user needs.
