I bought the Michigan set about 10 years ago, then just this year bought
Michigan again in the "Geo" edition. I also have the major US cities
set in the Geo Edition. http://libguides.lib.msu.edu/sanborn
I noticed recently (or was reminded) that Center for Research Libraries
has the full country on microfilm available for loaning.

The UC Berkeley Earth Sciences and Map Library has a Union List of
Sanborn and Other Fire Insurance Maps that indicates both owning
institutions and maps that are available online:

Digitized Sanborn maps area also available via subscription from ProQuest.
