_*Invitation to host the 27th International Conference on the History of
Cartography (ICHC) in 2017*_

The Board of Directors of Imago Mundi Ltd. invites proposals for hosting
the 2017 conference. Please see the links to the 'Guidelines' for those
organizing a future International Conference on the History of
Cartography, via:

The Guidelines, which have recently been updated, set out the
requirements for a successful conference and are intended to assist
potential hosts to prepare a strong case. Please see the document,
'Hosting an international conference' and note that there are no longer
any stated geographical limitations.

Those considering hosting the 2017 conference should contact the
Chairman, Imago Mundi Ltd., Tony Campbell, 76 Ockendon Road, London Nl

details. Formal proposals need to be submitted by 1 December 2013. It is
hoped to announce the results no later than spring 2014.

[Given that Joost Depuydt has only just circulated his announcement
about the 2015 conference in Antwerp it may seem a little premature to
be considering the one that is to take place two years afterwards.
However, organizing an ICHC requires several years preparation.]
