Maps-L Readers,

I am sorry to inform you that Elizabeth Winroth, a longtime WAML member
and
Map Librarian at the Oregon Historical Society for 26 years, passed away
on
March 5th after a short battle with cancer.

Elizabeth was a wonderful person and dear friend.  As a professional,
her
passion for maps enriched the work of so many.  In honor of her legacy,
the
Oregon Historical Society has established the "Elizabeth C. Winroth Fund
for
Map Acquisitions."

Contributions may be sent to the Oregon Historical Society, 1200 SW Park
Ave., Portland, OR 97205.
