     The SIO Library has 83116 4th ed. July 1978 (revised May 31, 1986) and
     this is the most recent edition on issue. I just checked my Summary of
     Corrections v.4 1997 (NIMA NMSUMV4) and the only update since this
     edition was revised in 1986 was "Change DMA stock number to 83BCO83116
     in lower right corner of chart." You should be able to buy from a NOS
     chart vendor or I can make a b&w photocopy for you.
 
     This chart was originally H.O. 1198  and published in April 1890; I
     have an 11th edition published Sep 1945 and is somewhat better than
     the NOS 1986 item (if you're planning a military invasion of those
     islands) as landing fields are shown.

Subject: NOS nautical chart 83116
 
     The National Ocean Survey's nautical chart 83116 is entitled
     Islands in the Pacific Ocean-Jarvis, Baker and Howland Islands
     (scale 1:15,000) according to the index. Am I the only depository
     missing it? It's not on OCLC. I know we've missed DMA/NIMA charts
     over the years since 1984, but I thought we had gotten all of the
     NOS charts? The Dates of Latest Editions says it was revised in
     1986. If none of us have it, I think I'll contact GPO or CUAC.
