-Apologies in advance for cross-postings-

MAGIS is pleased to announce that a set of Hawaii Historical
Topographical Quadrangle Maps 1910-1933 is now online and available for
download.

http://magis.manoa.hawaii.edu/maps/digital/quads.html

-These are in 1:31,650 scale for all the islands except for Oahu which
 is at 1:20,000 scale.
-These are downloadable as a geotiff, which means that it can be
imported into a Geographic Information System. You may also simply
view the tiff as a jpeg with any image viewer.
-Maps for Oahu, Kahoolawe, Lanai and Niihau are forthcoming.

This project is truly a collaboration/partnership. Many many thanks go to:

-Henry Wolter at the United States Geological Survey who provided us
 with the maps.
-Ev Wingert of Geography and his colleagues who scanned the maps and
converted them into geotiffs.

Best Wishes, Salim, Ross and Stephanie
