Sure.  Martini is the nickname of "martini.eecs.umich.edu", where a
Geographic Names Information Server is found.  If an Internet user can
type "telnet martini.eecs.umich.edu 3000", you will be connected
interactively; help is available, and it is quite useful for general
queries.
 
To satisfy anyone's curiosities, the number 3000 is the port number of
the telnet link to that site.  It is VERY IMPORTANT that you put the
number 3000 after the sitename in order to use the Name Server, or else
you will get a login prompt for that system, which is *not* what you
want.  By the way, the IP number for that server is '141.212.99.9 3000'
if you do not use a nameserver; note the port number after the IP number
is similarly significant.
