One of our Water Resources professors needs two topographic maps of
Uganda which were originally done by the Directorate of Overseas Surveys
and later the Lands and Surveys of Uganda. It is part of the 1:50,000
topographic set which is DOS 426 (Series Y732). However, we are missing
approximately a half dozen sheets including two of the most vital sheets
for their resource. We want to buy them but have not yet found a
source. Of course the professor would like them yesterday for a book he
is publishing. Does anyone have the two maps listed below, who would be
willing to loan them to us or would be willing to copy part of them?

Series: Uganda 1:50,000
             DOS 426

Needed sheets are: 56/1 Bundibugyo
                     56/4 Fort Portal

Thank you for any assistance you might provide. If anyone knows of a
current source from whom we may buy the sheets we are missing, we would
appreciate learning of it. The University of Florida Center for African
Studies has a number of research projects located in Uganda and the Map
& Imagery Library staff tries to buy any thing we can obtain on the
country. Any suggestions for obtaining specialized maps for the country
would be gratefully received. You can assume we have the standard
Travel maps such as ITM and Nelles Verlag and the Bartholomew series.

Thank you
Helen
