Hello! I'm looking for some advice. We have a large number of folded maps
(road maps, travel maps & the like, including maps with attached covers)
that we intend to start cataloging soon. Because there are so many of them,
I'm debating the best way to store them once they're cataloged - unfold &
flatten them to put with the rest of our thematic maps or leave them folded
& file in hanging files. How do other libraries or collections handle this
issue? If you have a section of folded maps, what criteria do you use to
decide what to flatten & what to leave folded? Any information people can
provide will be helpful.

Thanks!
