Although I was sent a copy last week, and took it to last weekend's
Brussels International Map Collectors' Circle's annual December
conference, it seems useful to advertise the following new publication
by Bill Richardson (he of toponymic research pertaining to the history
of cartography) -

Was Australia charted befoe 1606? The /Jave la Grande/ inscriptions /
William A.R. Richardson. - [S.l. :] National Library of Australia, 2006.
- xii,132p. : ill., maps (some col.) ; 25 cm. - Bibliogr.: p.118-126. -
Includes 'Appendix B : a fifteenth-century charting of Australia?'
(p.97-100) [on "Gavin Menzies' recent, sensational and much-publicised
claim regarding a Chinese charting of Australia in the 1420s"]. - ISBN
0-642-27642-0 (pbk)

which doesn't (as far as I can discover) indicate who, and where
located, are overseas agents for NLA's publications.
