Hello,

Can anyone give some tips on the photographing of maps for use on a web
site? We had an option to scan them, but found out that the scanner bed
was only 36 “wide and scanned only in black and white.

We have about 2300 maps in our collection. We are a small
museum/archive and have been given these maps by a local title company
and an engineer. Some maps are very old and some are more modern, but
we want to preserve them for the future and hopefully encourage more use
of them by making the image of them available on our web site.

Thank you,

Nancy Masimer
