There was a skit on Saturday Night Live last weekend about this very
thing.  A clueless young couple walked into a travel agency and wanted
to go on a vacation somewhere, but didn't care where. The travel agent
became more and more agitated as the couple's geographical illiteracy
became more apparent.  They wanted to drive to Europe, for example.
