The Library of Michigan is reviewing its procedure for placing
classification numbers and bar code labels on maps that are stored flat
in map cases. We would like to place the labels in a location that is
easily visible to the filers and our patrons but does not cause the maps
to become dog-eared due to flipping up corners, etc.

We would really like to hear how other libraries are labeling their
maps--descriptions of methods that work well and those that don't work so
well would all be helpful! Please respond directly to me or to the
list. Thanks in advance!
