Map Collection Management Discussion Group at ALA Midwinter

Please forward any discussion ideas you might have for the Map
Collection Management Discussion Group to me at your earliest
convenience.  I have received a couple of ideas already....but always
look forward to more.

Discussion can cover a wide range of topics based on this groups purpose
and duties:

Purpose:** To provide a forum for discussion of and recommendations on
issues concerning the acquisition and management of cartographic
materials of various formats, in collections at different types of
libraries.

Duties:** Discusses issues, new developments, and problems in the
selection, acquisition, and management of maps, geospatial data and
other cartographic materials. Seeks to identify and define cooperative
acquisitions and useful management practices.

The Map Collection Management Discussion Group will meet from 1:30 to
3:30 p.m in the Colorado Convention Center Room 107.

I look forward to a lively and informative discussion in Denver!
