MapExpert has a "distance tool" feature that will give you the
as-the-crow-flies distance between two points in the U.S.  This
would cover the info in the USA volume of Direct Lind Distances.
Don't know the level of accuracy (e.g. what algorithms the
software uses to calculate the distance).
