Subject: National Geographic sending world maps to schools

Today's Arizona Republic (9/15/98, p.A6) has a short notice that the
National Geographic Society will send every school in the U.S. a laminated,
4x6foot map of the world this month. One side of the map shows political
boundaries current as of June 1998, the other side "a picture of the
physical world" based on satellite imagery. Creating and distributing the
will cost $1,000,000.
