Subject: New Books editor for base line

The newsletter of ALA's Map and Geography Round Table (MAGERT),
*base line*, is looking for a new editor for the New Books and
Atlases column. If you're interested in compiling this column
please contact me (email below). I'm flexible in how you put it
together: either a traditional bibliography or a narrative
discussion. Please look at past issues of *base line* -- both
the New Books and Atlases and the New Maps columns -- to get
ideas.

For you MAGERT members out there, this is a good opportunity to
get a little more involved with MAGERT and it gives you a chance
to take a closer looks at the books and atlases being published.

Also, we used to have a computer mapping column. If anyone's
interested in that, also please contact me.

I'd hope that someone can start for the December issue (deadline
for submitting the column is Nov. 15).

thanks,
        Mark Thomas
