Mappers

Does anyone have any knowledge of large format data capture systems involving
tracing over projected images (eg on a large whiteboard). Spatially enabled
would be nice but I suspect that might be asking too much. The concept is a
shared environment where scientists can project a reasonably large (say 2m x
1m) raster or vector images onto a (digitise-ready) screen and trace over key
elements which are then captured (the tracings ie) as some sort of
coordinates/graphic elements.

I'm aware of smaller personal systems that do this.

Thanks in anticipation.
