Subject: LC and EDR Sanborn

One of our grad students is looking for information about the status of the
Library of Congress project to scan Sanborn fire insurance maps.  The
project was announced in the Dec. 1997 issue of  LC Information Bulletin,
but he hasn't been able to locate any information about how the project is
going.  We've checked LC's American Memory collection on the web, but
nothing appears about Sanborns.  Does anyone have any updated information
on this project?  -- Gwen Curtis
