Subject: Detailed old topo of Tibet?
Sender: Ilene Raynes <[log in to unmask]>

We have a patron looking for a detailed old topo map of Tibet.
Specifically, the patron is interested in viewing an area from Llasa to
Sikkim (this area starts north of Bhutan and runs along the Western
border of Bhutan). The patron would like the map to be from the 1930s or
1940s, but will take any detailed topo map covering the area from any
time period. She's also looking for a detailed topo of the Eastern
border b/c Tibet and China. We have searched all of our sets and
possibilities in our library. I did show her a current map at 1:500,000
covering the area, but that wasn't detailed enough for her needs. Does
anyone have something that could help her out and, if so, can I put the
patron in contact w/your library so that she can arrange to get a copy?

Thanks for your help and have a great Thanksgiving-

Ilene
