The Canadian General Standards Board and the Canadian Library Association
have just published "Geomatic data sets cataloguing rules".  "The
standard provides rules for the description of geomatic data sets to be
used in the construction of library catalogues or other lists.  The
document is based on the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, second edition
revised (AACR2R).   While AACR2R contains separate chapters for
cartographic materials and computer files, the committee has compiled the
relevant rules from these chapters into one sequence.  Some of these rules
were modified and further rules were added in order to address the unique
nature of geomatic material."
