If it is still useful, I managed to find out the following from a GIS
person regarding elevation information for the island nation of Tuvalu.

I checked the USGS international seamless data server
(http://seamless.usgs.gov/).  There are some pretty coarse scale DEMs
available for Tuvalu but the entire nation consists of about 10 grid
cells, with elevations ranging from 2-6 meters above sea level.
