Dear All,

For your information, Bartholomew are gradually phasing out our
Postcode District map series as current sales do not justify
the production and holding costs. The same happened to our Postcode
Sector maps a few years ago. It may be possible to revive these
as a print on demand service in the near future (like OS Superplan),
but the conventional method of printing several thousand of each and
then holding them in stock was not really working.

I should point our that this does not affect our popular Postcode
atlas, nor does it affect our ability to supply Postcode Areas,
Districts and Sectors in digital form. We have just completed a
new British Isles 1:500 000 data package which includes a gray scale
raster image and Postcode Areas and Districts. Viewing this in ArcView
gives an impression that is very similar to the appearance of the
Postcode District map sheets, but of course being on the computer
it is much easier to use for thematic mapping and analysis.

Please email [log in to unmask] for more details.

Thank you for your time,

Tim Rideout
