/_Coordinates_/ <http://www.stonybrook.edu/libmap/coordinates.htm>is the
online, open-access scholarly journal of the ALA Map and Geography Round
Table (MAGERT). /Coordinates/was founded in 2004 by current editor David
Allen in part as a replacement for MAGERT’s previous scholarly
publication /Meridian/(1989-99). /Coordinates/currently consists of
/Series A/, original, peer-reviewed articles, and /Series B/, essays and
other shorter pieces, technical notes, previously published articles,
and other materials of interest to its audience. /Coordinates /seeks
articles on a wide range of subjects relating to maps and GIS
librarianship. The target audience is primarily map and GIS librarians
and curators of maps. /Coordinates/does not have a set publication
schedule; articles are published irregularly in the order received.
Formed in 1980, MAGERT, the world's largest map library organization,
provides a forum for people interested or involved in any aspect of map
or geography librarianship. More information about MAGERT is available
