California State University, Long Beach, seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Geographic Information Science (GISc) with research specialization in urban applications. Appointment begins August 19th 2013. Ph.D. in Geography or closely related discipline with a specialization in GISc is required at time of appointment. Ideal candidates will have a research specialization in urban GISc with skills in GIS programming and database development and management. Demonstrated or potential ability for effective teaching in our Master of Science in GISc program preferred. A strong commitment to high quality teaching, academic research, and extramural funding is essential.
