We are sorry to report that the list sent out on Wednesday included some items the Penn Libraries intends to keep. For now please consider the following reduced list, keeping in mind that PA, DE and NJ maps will be retained. Please forgive us for our error.

I should also mention that we have received many requests. We will respond
as soon as we are able.

Date from the 1970s and 1980s.

13 drawers contain topographic and geological surveys and other material
produced by the USGS and various state (not including Pennsylvania)
geological surveys and agencies. This group is a mixture of maps from the
USGS, state geological surveys, and other state departments. There are
diverse map types and types of publications, e.g., barrier island erosion
studies, coal maps, state publications similar to the USGS investigations
series.

There are two drawers of planimetric state county maps. Incomplete.
Two drawers of City Maps produced by USGS, most from the 1920s through the
1950s.

mainly from the 1980s.
OFFER      One drawer of USGS County and Topographic Maps at the 1:100 000
scale, as well as various topographic maps at 1:25 000 and 1:250 000. Most
appear to cover Massachusetts.
Three half drawers of USGS 1:25,000 contain a series filled with county and
topographic maps, mainly from Massachusetts and New York.
