Aloha,

I'd like to add to Maura O'Connor's message by giving the particulars
for
the mentioned WAML Information Bulletin photoessay on aerial photograph
storage methods.

The photoessay appeared in the vol.28, no.1, November 1996 issue and
shows the setup of the National Library of Australia (Maura O'Connor),
the University of Oregon Map Library (Peter Stark), and the University
of Hawai`i Library Map Collection.

At the University of Hawai`i, the aerial photographs are stored in
custom-
made drop-front style boxes. The boxes are then kept on their sides in
legal-size file cabinets. Not all file cabinets have the exact same
interior dimensions and care must be made in choosing the right ones as
it is a close fit!

Aloha,
Ross Togashi
